About the Book
 
The Salt Marsh Diaries is a ten-year compilation of observations and adventures through the eyes of a charter boat captain who’s also a coastal geologist.
 
 These diary entries were first published as a monthly column in the Folly Current, a local Folly Beach South Carolina Newspaper.
 
 It’s hard to categorize the writings found in the Salt Marsh Diaries. Some take the form of a vignette. Some read like essays, others short stories. All include an aspect of life on the water.
 
 Part coastal science, part natural history, and part personal experiences, these diary entries can be read in any order. Just open the book to any page and begin!
